PEYA Campaigns 2010-2011
PEYA was initially started by youth for youth as an organization with the purpose of connecting students from all over the Peel Region, so that they could network and share their love for the environment, projects, obstacles, and more. Since then, the environmental scene has changed greatly with a movement towards taking action. So, in response to this desire for action, this year, PEYA is running our Kill Your Bill program.
Kill Your Bill is an energy conservation program that aims to empower students to be able to run energy conservation initiatives in their schools. By going through this program, students will receive support from PEYA at General Meetings, and ultimately run energy conservation initiatives in their schools. For more information, attend the Kill Your Bill launch at the October General Meeting (on October 22), or attend the Kill Your Bill workshop at the EcoBuzz Conference!
